Danny Clegg

Daniel (Danny) Clegg is a Course Leader and Lecturer at the University of South Wales, specialising in Rheumatology, Dermatology, and Pain Management postgraduate programmes. With a Master of Chiropractic degree and a PGCert in Research (Distinction), he combines clinical expertise in musculoskeletal pain management, chiropractic technique, and evidence-based clinical diagnosis with extensive experience in course design and validation. Danny leads multiple modules including General Diagnosis, Evidence-Based Clinical Diagnosis, and Research Projects, supporting both undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has a strong background in research, particularly in Raynaud’s disease, and applies this expertise to enhance teaching quality and student outcomes. As a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a registered PRINCE2 practitioner, Danny integrates educational best practices with effective project management. His practical experience extends to clinical settings, including 18 months of direct patient care and ongoing consultancy work with a local football team. This combination of academic leadership, clinical knowledge, and commitment to innovative teaching makes him well-suited to the Tutor role on the PGDip in Medical Education, where he supports the development of advanced clinical education and research skills.
