Dr Chisom Adaobi Nri-Ezedi

Dr Chisom Adaobi Nri-Ezedi, MBBS, MPH, MD, FWACP, PhD

An Associate Professor of Paediatrics at Nnamdi Azikiwe University and an Honorary Consultant at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital. With extensive clinical experience, she serves as Unit Head for both Endocrinology and Haematology/Oncology within the Department of Paediatrics. A senior collaborator with the Global Burden of Disease Study, Dr Nri-Ezedi has authored over 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications covering sickle cell disease, paediatric oncology, endocrinology, and digital health innovations. She also holds editorial board roles with journals such as Scientific Reports (Nature Portfolio) and contributes to grant-funded research on sickle cell care in Nigeria. Her teaching experience encompasses undergraduate and postgraduate medical training, including supervising FWACP Part II dissertations and acting as an external examiner. As a Tutor for the PGDip and MSc in Paediatrics and Child Health, Dr Nri-Ezedi leverages her clinical expertise, research background, and experience in medical education to guide prospective students through postgraduate study.
