Dr. Gabriela Benderz, MRCVS, is an experienced online medical tutor and academic leader, currently serving as Pro-Dean of Academic Teaching Deputy at EDU. A degree smarter. She holds a Master’s in Medical Education (ongoing) from the University of Dundee, with completed certificates in Learning and Teaching and Principles of Assessment in Medical Education. Dr. Benderz has a solid clinical background as a veterinary surgeon across several UK practices and a strong commitment to medical education, supported by certifications including the AMEE-ESME Certificate and a Higher Education Teaching Certificate from Harvard’s Derek Bok Center. She is skilled in curriculum development, assessment design, and delivering problem-based learning (PBL) in both online and face-to-face environments. Dr. Benderz’s expertise includes creating lesson plans, producing educational content, and revising curricula to enhance learning outcomes. Her proficiency with a range of digital teaching tools and experience supervising small student groups make her well-suited to support learners on the PGDip in Medical Education as a Tutor, guiding them through effective teaching strategies and assessment methods.
