Dr. Martha C. Castaño Betancourt
Dr Martha C. Castaño Betancourt is a clinical epidemiologist and physiotherapist with extensive research experience in musculoskeletal disorders, particularly osteoarthritis and chronic pain. She holds a PhD in Health Sciences from Erasmus University, where she specialised in the genetic and epidemiological factors influencing hip osteoarthritis. Dr Castaño Betancourt has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in high-impact medical journals and received several international research awards, including recognition from the Osteoarthritis Research Society and the European Society of Human Genetics. Her academic appointments include postdoctoral research at Faculdade de Medicina Jundiai and lecturer roles in public health and orthopaedics.
