Biography

Professor Deborah Tolulope Esan, RN, RM, RPHN, BNSc, MPH, PhD

Professor Deborah Tolulope Esan is the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Sciences at Bowen University, Nigeria, with over a decade of higher education and research experience. A Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, and Registered Public Health Nurse, she completed her BNSc at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, an MPH at Obafemi Awolowo University, and a PhD in Public Health at the University of Ibadan. Her research encompasses public health nursing, cancer prevention, maternal-newborn care, and mHealth interventions, with extensive publications in international journals. Her academic roles include serving as a Recognised Tutor at the University of South Wales and a Tutor at the University of Buckingham. Beyond lecturing, she serves on the editorial boards of BMC Health Services Research and BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth, and has examined postgraduate theses across multiple institutions. As a Tutor on the PGDip in Public Health and MSc in Public Health courses, she leverages her public health scholarship, research supervision background, and active university leadership to support online learners.
