Syed Raza
Syed Raza is a health economist with over ten years of experience in market access, health technology assessment (HTA), and real-world evidence generation within the pharmaceutical industry. He holds an MSc in Health Economics from City University London and an MBA in Marketing, providing a combination of analytical and strategic expertise relevant to applied health economics.
Syed currently serves as Health Economics Lead at Boehringer Ingelheim, where he has led UK HTA submissions for therapies in diabetes and respiratory care. His work includes cost-effectiveness modelling, value dossier development, and submissions to NICE, the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC), and the National Centre for Pharmacoeconomics (NCPE).
With practical experience in budget impact modelling, decision-analytic methods, and cross-functional collaboration, he brings applied insight to the MSc in Applied Health Economics. His industry contributions have been recognised through awards, including Market Access Elite Performer, reflecting both impact and credibility in the field.
